Danylo is 18 years old and lives in Łódź. He came to Poland from Ukraine in August 2025, hoping to find a better future here. His illness was discovered by chance. During treatment for acute appendicitis, doctors discovered that he had Hodgkin lymphoma. Chemotherapy was started, and the affected lymph node was removed. During further oncological examinations, doctors also detected a brain aneurysm, which was removed on June 14, 2026, at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute in Warsaw. The treatment was extremely exhausting for Danylo.

However, his story did not begin with illness.

Danylo grew up in difficult circumstances. When he was 9 years old, he lost his father, with whom he had a difficult relationship. In 2017, he moved to Russia to live with his grandparents, where for some time he was able to feel safe. Since 2019, his mother has been living in Israel, where she works to support the family. Danylo misses her very much, looks forward to seeing her again, and hopes they will soon be together. Despite everything, he has not given up on his dreams. He attends a technical school with an administrative and service profile and plans to study data analysis at the Łódź University of Technology. He enjoys cooking, spending time at the computer, and being in nature.

The funds raised will be used for Danylo’s treatment and rehabilitation.
