Martyna is 16 years old and comes from Łódź.

She is our beloved sunshine - a kind, empathetic, creative, and sensitive teenager. She loves animals, enjoys painting, and is passionate about music, psychology, and cosmetology. She is curious about the world, dreams of travelling, loves diving, and has an incredible amount of passion and plans for the future.

Unfortunately, from an early age, Martyna has struggled with respiratory and food allergies and was often ill. At the turn of 2024, her health began to deteriorate significantly. She suffered from bronchitis twice, followed by shingles. Her blood test results gradually worsened. Martyna began experiencing pain in her legs and arms, constant fatigue, severe abdominal pain, and became very pale. She also lost a significant amount of weight and developed nosebleeds.

After numerous consultations, we were referred to the Haematology Clinic on Sporna Street in Łódź. Following a bone marrow examination on 28 April 2025, we received the diagnosis: chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML).

The intensive fight against cancer began - chemotherapy, frequent hospital stays, medical tests, and specialist consultations. Martyna is also dealing with coeliac disease and challenges related to her mental health. This is an extremely difficult time for her and for our entire family.

We will do everything we can to help Martyna regain her health and return to the life she once knew - a life full of dreams, passions, and plans for the future. We believe that, thanks to her incredible strength and the support of kind-hearted people, she will overcome this disease.
