Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Until recently, Tymoteusz's days were filled with playtime, arts and crafts, and visits with his beloved neighbor and friend, Michałek. Four-year-old Tymoteusz, from Grzymkowice, a small village located between Łódź and Warsaw, is a cheerful, energetic little boy. He loves painting, cutting out paper shapes, modeling with clay, and creating all kinds of handmade crafts. Even during his stay in the pediatric oncology ward, he has not lost his smile. He happily hugs the medical staff and delights in offering sweets to the nurses.
In April 2026, the lives of Tymoteusz and his family changed in an instant. He began complaining of severe pain in his abdomen and legs. The pain became so intense that he was no longer able to stand on his own. Initially, doctors suspected appendicitis, and on April 13 he was admitted to the hospital. However, after undergoing examinations in the Emergency Department, he was immediately transferred to the pediatric oncology unit. The diagnosis was devastating: acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
Treatment began immediately. His parents recall that everything happened incredibly fast, and the overwhelming emotions they experienced were fear and uncertainty. Today, they know their son is in the hands of dedicated specialists who fight for his health every single day.
So far, Tymoteusz has undergone numerous demanding medical examinations and procedures. He has had multiple bone marrow aspirations, lumbar punctures, MRI scans, and ultrasound examinations. Currently, a lumbar puncture is performed with every course of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, his treatment has not been without complications. Several infections have forced doctors to temporarily postpone his therapy. A severe ear infection caused Tymoteusz to stop eating and drinking, making intravenous nutritional support necessary and delaying his chemotherapy. Shortly afterward, another bacterial infection once again interrupted his treatment.
Tymoteusz is growing up in a loving family of four. He has a ten-year-old sister, Laura, with whom he shares a very special bond. Like any siblings, they occasionally argue over toys, but their parents emphasize how deeply they care for one another. His illness has completely transformed the family's daily life. Their home, once filled with laughter and frequent visits from friends and relatives, must now remain a place of isolation to protect Tymoteusz from further infections. Time spent with friends and other children has also become extremely limited.
What the family misses most is the simple joy of everyday life—family trips, exploring new places together, and peaceful days free from hospital rooms and endless medical tests. Today, Tymoteusz's life revolves around treatment and prolonged hospital stays.
The funds raised for Tymoteusz will help cover transportation to and from the hospital, essential medications, and other expenses related to his treatment and recovery. Every contribution provides meaningful support to Tymoteusz and his family as they face this incredibly difficult journey.
