Ambulatory volumetric pump for children

Out of concern for its little BIG WARRIORS, the "Krwinka" Foundation - as the first organization in Poland - bought a volumetric pump. Thanks to it, children with cancer can take at HOME precisely dosed intravenous drugs administered by their parents. In this way, part of the treatment can take place at home rather than in the hospital, which is extremely beneficial for the baby.

We all know that the time of treating a child with cancer is a very difficult period in life for the whole family. Therefore, it is extremely important that she could spend as much time as possible together at home. Research shows that during a stay at home, a sick child regains its mental balance, which significantly affects the condition of its entire body.

Of course, the doctor decides what medications and when the child may receive outside the hospital. The main treatment continues during hospitalization. Therefore, the pump was put at the disposal of the Department of Paediatrics, Oncology and Hematology, U.M. in the boat. It is the first device of this type - already in use.

The CADD SolisVIP volumetric pump is designed for various types of infusions, incl. continuous infusions, PCA, PCEA. Ensures flawless drug delivery. The pump has an easy and intuitive interface, thanks to which parents - after a short training - have no problems with its operation.

Elżbieta Budny President of the "Krwinka" Foundation:

"We always try to meet the needs of our patients, and thus the Clinic, which due to the procedures cannot make immediate purchases. We support them at every stage of cancer treatment and children's rehabilitation. The purchase of medical equipment is part of these tasks. The society provides us with the necessary financial resources by donating 1% of the tax, for which we thank you very much. "
