As the President of the "Krwinka" Foundation, Elżbieta Budny, says: "It is extremely important to spend every free moment together, especially in the case of oncological children's families, for whom separation from loved ones is a frequent phenomenon. Currently, hospitals are still subject to restrictions caused by the pandemic. Only one parent is allowed in the room with a small patient. Any visits are also forbidden. Unfortunately, this often results in a weakening of relationships between family members. That is why it was so important for us to prepare attractions that will enable our pupils to strengthen their ties with their loved ones and break away from the worries of everyday life. "
The trip under the name of Family Days took place on 28-30.05.2021, it was quite short, but very intense and full of various attractions. In line with all safety rules, it began with testing all participants for COVID-19. The next point of the program was the official start, making wishes and giving both children and parents gift sets. After the official part, the children were invited to integration activities with the animator, and the parents participated in the activities with a psychologist. The highlight of the first day was feasting by the fire combined with long conversations and karaoke. On Saturday, the "Krwinka" Foundation prepared a field game in the vicinity, classes with a psychologist and art classes, during which wonderful three-dimensional frames depicting entire families were created. It was a teamwork of children and parents. The participants' faces showed concentration and great commitment.
The whole stay ended with a Sunday walk around the arboretum and a ceremonial summary, during which the representatives of the foundation handed out diplomas and small gifts for participating in the field game and organized the premiere screening of the first episode of the therapeutic fairy tale "About Hope ...". It is a new project of the Krwinka Foundation which involves the production of a series of therapeutic fairy tales, in which the main role is played by hand puppets made of Many Mornings socks.
