Sun, sea, beach and picturesque sunsets... Spending time in hot Greece you can forget about everyday problems and difficult moments related to illness. For this purpose, the "Krwinka" Foundation is once again organizing a holiday trip abroad and inviting children who have completed the treatment process and their relatives.

Long-term therapy and rehabilitation result in a complete re-evaluation of the current way of life and limitations in relationships with others. Fighting the disease fills every day, and fear about the child's health destabilizes the functioning of the family. A stay in hospital lasting several months and feeling unwell also contribute to the deterioration of relationships between sick children and their peers. After returning home, the sense of security, the ability to establish relationships and self-confidence need to be rebuilt.

Therefore, the idea of ​​this joint trip with the "Krwinka" Foundation is to create a comfortable space for families affected by oncological or hematological diseases to rest and, above all, to break down barriers created during the treatment process and build bonds with people with similar experiences.

Onco-heroes and their loved ones, under the care of a psychologist, participated in games and therapeutic exercises. Their goal was to develop social and communication skills, which are extremely important when making the first attempts to return to life before the disease. Additionally, Krwinki travelers participated in trips showing the beauty of Greek architecture and nature.

We are glad that we could spend these few summer days in such wonderful company. We deeply believe that the stay in sunny Greece allowed all participants to relax and gain strength to take on new, fascinating challenges.
