NEW BENEFICIARY – KACPER KWIECIŃSKI

Kacper is 12 years old. Not long ago, he was a lively, cheerful boy full of energy who could never sit still. He ran, jumped, laughed loudly, and eagerly built complex LEGO constructions. He loved learning English, and in his free time, with great patience, he created fairy-tale characters from modeling clay and colorful craft wires. He was curious about the world, full of plans and dreams, a typical twelve-year-old just beginning to discover who he wanted to become.

Today, Kacper is struggling with serious consequences following surgery. Mutism and partial paralysis have occurred. A boy who not long ago ran around the playground and jumped without any limitations is now forced to lie in bed, learning everything from the beginning. Each day is a tremendous effort and a fight that no child should have to face.

The first symptoms of the illness were morning vomiting and severe, persistent headaches. The tumor caused hydrocephalus, which made it necessary to urgently insert a drainage system. On December 29, surgery was performed to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, it was not possible to remove it completely.

Christmas 2025 was supposed to look completely different. Instead of a family table, the scent of a Christmas tree, and singing carols together, Kacper spent this special time in a hospital room. It was then that he and his parents heard the diagnosis that turned their lives upside down: medulloblastoma, a malignant tumor of the cerebellum.

Kacper is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment. A long and difficult road lies ahead, filled with rehabilitation, treatment, and hope for improvement. His parents are doing everything in their power to help their son recover, but this fight requires not only strength, but also significant support. Hospital reality is not playtime or school, but examinations, IV drips, rehabilitation, and a constant struggle with pain and fatigue. Each day is dictated by the treatment schedule, and childhood dreams have had to give way to fear and patient waiting for improvement.

Kacper’s illness is an enormous test of strength, patience, and faith for him and his family. The hospital has taken away his carefree childhood, freedom, and the daily life he once knew, but it has not taken away hope. He is still the same sensitive and wise boy who dreams of returning to normal life, to school, to his friends, and to his beloved LEGO bricks.

Kacper’s parents sincerely ask for help and support in this unequal fight for their son’s health and future. Every gesture is of great importance and brings Kacper closer to the day when he will once again be able to run, laugh, and enjoy childhood.
