It was with great joy and pride that we hosted in Łódź exceptional representatives of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – Tory and Natalia, who visited the OncoLab Medical Laboratory of Pediatric Oncology and Hematology, as well as KrwinkoPort – the seat of the “Krwinka” Foundation.

 

The visit to OncoLab – the only laboratory in Poland offering molecular diagnostics dedicated to children – was an opportunity to present modern solutions that play a key role in the quick and accurate diagnosis of childhood cancers.

Our guests had the opportunity to learn the details of the laboratory’s functioning thanks to Dr. Katarzyna Bąbel-Pokora, the manager of OncoLab, who shared her experience with great passion, openness and commitment.

 

Then, a meeting with the Foundation team took place in KrwinkoPort, which became a space for an inspiring exchange of experiences, reflections and discussions on international cooperation in the field of care for children with cancer. As part of the meeting, our guests also participated in a short relaxation session led by the Foundation's psychologist - it was a moment of respite and regeneration, especially valuable after an intensive week of activities related to the organization of the St. Jude Global Alliance Euro Regional Meeting.

 

The visit ended with a walk around the charming Księży Młyn - a place with a unique atmosphere, which allowed us to feel the spirit of old Łódź.
