On the occasion of the upcoming Easter, the Foundation for Children with Oncological Diseases "Krwinka" traditionally organized a special meeting for young Patients of the oncohematology wards at the hospital on Sporna Street and their caregivers. Time spent together, a holiday treat, and gifts from the Easter bunny brought smiles to the faces of children and parents, and peace and hope - so valuable during the long-term treatment process - settled in their hearts.
Joyful celebration of the holidays and moments spent in an atmosphere of warmth have an extremely positive effect on the well-being and health of sick people. Guided by this idea, the team of the "Krwinka" Foundation organized an Easter meeting for children and parents who spent this special time of the year in the hospital. This initiative was to make everyone feel important and appreciated.
Easter celebrations in the wards began on Wednesday with art workshops, during which young participants created spring decorations. This creative meeting not only allowed the children's imagination to be stimulated, but also provided space for expressing emotions and joy.
On Thursday, during the Christmas meeting, the brave Oncoheroes and their caregivers were treated to a delicious treat that put everyone in a nice, family mood. The children were also given unique gifts, including LEGO sets, arcade games, handmade mascots, puzzles, coloring books and books.
- At the "Krwinka" Foundation, we try to be close to our charges, especially at times like the holidays, which for many of them are a difficult time of separation from loved ones. We want every little Patient and their parents to be cared for and feel safe. That is why we share warmth, smiles and hope. We believe that these small gestures will make it easier for families to find their way in the new situation, give them strength and encouragement. - said Dominika Śliwińska, Operations Director of the "Krwinka" Foundation.
