The Foundation for Children with Oncological Diseases "Krwinka" has been providing care to children with oncohematological diseases for 29 years. The organization was established on the initiative of parents of children affected by cancer, who still form its structures. This difficult experience allows us to understand the situation of the beneficiaries and their families and to adapt various forms of free assistance to their needs.
Thanks to the invaluable support of our Donors, over the last 5 years, our activities have reached
nearly 36,000 recipients.
All activities are carried out with the aim of ensuring that children with oncohematological diseases recover as quickly as possible - in appropriate conditions and surrounded by caring care.
The funds provided by you are allocated to:
♦ The “Help at the start” program – financial support of up to PLN 6,000/year for the most needy children, before they obtain dedicated funds
♦ Financing of medicines prescribed during home therapy and medicines not reimbursed by the National Health Fund
♦ Everyday psychological and pedagogical care for sick children and their parents in the hospital and Krwinka-Port
♦ Occupational therapies and animations in the hospital and Krwinka-Port
♦ Social assistance in kind and financial for children and their families
♦ Rehabilitation – conducted at the bedside and reimbursement of external services
♦ The only rehabilitation and recreation stays in Poland for children in the intensive treatment phase together with their families
♦ Holiday trips after treatment for children and their loved ones
♦ Events, holidays and other celebrations celebrated in and outside the hospital for sick children and their families
♦ Reunions of Cured Patients and Patients Undergoing Cancer Treatment – a meeting combined with a concert, joint entertainment and a message that everyday life after cancer can be beautiful and unlimited
♦ Purchase of medical equipment necessary in the treatment of children
♦ Krwinka-transporter – an ambulance for transporting children, including: for radiotherapy
♦ Specialist beds for oncology wards
♦ One-Day Ward and equipment for a hotel in the hospital.
♦ Increasing social awareness of cancer in children by implementing social campaigns and information campaigns and conducting educational workshops in educational institutions
